On 16 November 2017, the awarding ceremony of Vietnam Talent Awards 2017 was held in Hanoi by Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and Dantri E-Newspaper. The ceremony was broadcasted live on Vietnam Television. According to Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, the 13-year journey of the Awards had truly started a movement of ongoing learning and creativity for anyone, anytime, anywhere.

The Awards was initialized by Vietnam Association for Promoting Education in 2005, with the co-organizers being Dantri E-Newspaper and VNPT group. To this moment, Vietnam Talent Awards has become a set of prestigious national awards. The Awards welcomed thousands of Information Technology talents and hundreds of scientists, and honored the talents with most valuable scientific researches. Among them, there were participants nearly 80 year-olds, and participants who were only in elementary schools. Many Vietnamese in foreign countries and foreigners who love Vietnam also supported the Awards.

Vietnam Talent Awards 2017's awarding ceremony was honored to welcome Prime Minister and Politburo Member Nguyen Xuan Phuc; Secretary of Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee and Politburo Member Nguyen Thien Nhan; Member of Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of Central Propaganda and Education Commission Vo Van Thuong; Head of Vietnam Association for Promoting Education and Former Vice President, Prof. Nguyen Thi Doan;... leaders from Ministries, Departments, Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group, Vietnam Association for Promoting Education; Vietnamese scientists; representative guests and many students from universities in Ha Noi.

In the ceremony, the organizing committee had honored the nation's talents in the fields of information technology, science, medicine, environment and talent encouragement. In the information technology category, 12 awards were given to authors, or group of authors of products in the Potential Information Technology Product Group, Mobile - Connection Information Technology Product Group, and Start-up Product Group. Among them, beside the 1st award which was handed to the product "3D Human Body Virtual Reality Imitation in Health Teaching, Learning and Researching" by the group of authors from Duy Tan university, the organizing committee also handed two 2nd awards, four 4th awards, four consolation awards and one "For the Development of the Community" award to other remarkable authors and group of authors.

 

As the First Award of the Information Technology was handed, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc spoke: "Talents are the life force of the nation", the vicissitude of the nation depends on her "talent children".

This year, the Information Technology Category focused on the theme "Creative Technology, Smart Connection", aiming at the 4.0 Industrial Revolution and creative start-up. The Category had attracted many participants with highly applicable creations. 289 products had participated in this year's competition. The organization committee noted that this year's participating products were very diverse and creative, coming from all fields such as public administration, e-government, education, traffic...

 

 

Also in the awarding ceremony, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc called upon all Vietnamese talents in all fields: "A continuously learning and creative society is an ideal environment for the country, an important motion to build an active and tectonic government. The determination and actions of the Government will be strengthened by creative solutions and highly intellectual researches."

The Prime Minister believed that Vietnam Talent Awards will continue to find and honor talents in all fields, contributing to foster the creative start-up movement and to conquer high achievements of humankind. The Prime Minister also wished Vietnam Association for Promoting Education to taking the lead in promoting education and encouraging talents, continuing the country's tradition of studiousness and lightning the Lac Hong flame.

Vietnam Talent Awards 2017 were organized by VNPT Group and Dan tri E-Newspaper, media-sponsored by VNPT Media Corporation. In this 13th season, the Awards still kept the life force and position of the most prestigious awards in the field of Information Technology. The Awards started with the purpose of encouraging and honoring talents in the fields of information technology and communication. Throughout the years, the Awards had been continuously expanded to other areas such as Science, Medicine, and Environment.

Vietnam Talent Awards are a place not only to gather but also to encourage talents. Through the Awards, winning products not only are promoted widely but also have the opportunities to cooperate with leading groups such as VNPT group.
