During the journey, the Youth Union of VNPT Media Corporation (VNPT-Media) has organized many activities to pay tribute to heroic martyrs and people with merits to the country in Quang Binh and Quang Tri provinces. This is also a meaningful activity of the youth of VNPT-Media towards the anniversary of the War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day on July 27, the traditional day of the posts and telecommunications sector on August 15, the traditional day of the information and communication sector on August 28, etc...
Over the course of more than 600km, on the morning of July 22, nearly 40 members of VNPT-Media’s Youth Union finally arrived at Truong Son National Martyrs Cemetery. In the sacred space, with honor, on behalf of more than 600 employees working at VNPT-Media, the delegation respectfully honored the heroic martyrs who bravely sacrificed for the independence of the nation.
VNPT-Media Youth Union members offered incense and laid wreaths to martyrs who rests at Truong Son Cemetery.
Soon afterwards, the delegation came to incense at the Monument of martyrs, who worked in the field of Posts and Communications at Doc Mieu. This is a historical relic that vividly depicts the soldiers of the Posts and Communications sector through the ages. At this place, people commemorate their gratitude and honor the sacrifice of the posts and communications sector during the wars for national independence and national defense.

The old days were like flashback, so fierce but also so close.

As part of the journey, the delegation cooperated with VNPT Quang Tri Youth Union to hold a meeting and gave presents to veteran of the Vietnam Youth Volunteers in Quang Tri town, who suffer difficulties in life. On the way back to Hanoi, in the morning of July 23, the delegation had offered the incense at the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua, Yen Island in Quang Binh town. No one can forget how the General had cared for Vietnamese youth. He had always appreciated the role and the potential of the younger generation, as well as cared about the education and training of the Vietnamese youth.
The main goal of this journey is to feel the history, to understand more the epic past of the nation. Lucky not to experience the wars in the past, however, the youth of VNPT-Media would always appreciate the sacrifices had been made.
VNPT is a traditional enterprise associated with the history and traditions of the posts and telecommunications sector - a glorious tradition summarized by 10 golden words: "Faithfulness - Courage - Devotion - Creativity - Sentimental". In the defence for liberation of the country, the generations of employees of the Post and Telecommunications industry overcame all difficulties and hardships to maintain the flow of communication of the Party.
The journey has brought many feelings to each member of the delegation. Looking back at the sacrifices, every member of VNPT-Media Youth Union acknowledges his / her responsibility to contribute to the modernization of the country. As it was told by Secretary of the Youth Union of VNPT-Media Hoang Tien Hung, this journey is a great opportunity for the Youth Union of the corporation to further understand the heroic tradition, the contribution and sacrifices of the previous generations. VNPT-Media’s youth must be awareof the need to try harder to contribute in the development of the corporation and the country.
