The Fourth Industrial Revolution - Opportunities for Startup?
15:17, 04/08/2017Many experts point out that The Fourth Industrial Revolution is opening up a fair opportunity for all, even small and medium-sized businesses and startups, if they are properly prepared and are ready for the opportunities.
According to the forecasts, by 2020, there will be 4 billion people and 20 billion devices connected by the Internet (IoT) worldwide. This market will generate $ 1.9 trillion in revenues with more than 25 million applications. Meanwhile, the artificial intelligence market will reach $ 5.05 billion by 2020 in revenues. Computers have been involved in production management and operation at unprecedented speeds.
The fourth industrial revolution has been taking place at a very rapid pace and affecting almost every industry in every countries, including Vietnam. In addition, the start-up movement, especially in the field of information technology, has gone extremely mainstream in Vietnam and has gained special attention from leaders of the Party, the State and Departments as well as the whole community. The start-up movement is also one of the driving forces behind the development of innovative technology products that meet the demands of social life.
Turning the trend into opportunities, many young people in Vietnamn have started their own business. Many start-ups and young companies were born from this movement. Statistics from the Ministry of Information and Communications show that more than 1,000 startups are established every year in Vietnam. Business start-ups are the vitalization in the development of the economy.
Following the trend of the fourth industrial revolution and the spirit of national start-up, under the theme "Creative Technology, Smart Connectivity", the Vietnam Talent Awards 2017 has expected new discoveries and technological boom among the contesting products in the field of information technology, as well as many other valuable inventions from the science and technology.
The Vietnam Talent Awards is founded by the Vietnam Association for the Advancement of Learning; then co-organized by the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) and the Dan Tri Newspaper. VNPT Group has also been the title sponsor of the Award for the last 12 years. The award has recognized and honored hundreds of talents in the fields of Information Technology, Applied Sciences, Medicine and Environment.
In 2017, the Vietnam Talent Awards has many changes in the field of IT, especially the official opening of the "Information Technology Startup" award system. The organizers expect that the Awards will draw attention and participation from the start-up community, therefore contributing high quality information technology products to the Awards.
To get more specific information about the changes of the Awards this year, the organizing department has conducted a series of exchanges with startup communities in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City, with the presence of both nationally and internationally well-known guest speakers
The workshop: "The Fourth Industrial Revolution - Opportunities for Startup?" will take place at 2 pm on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at BKHUP Co-Working Space - the 3rd floor, building A17 - 17 Ta Quang Buu - Bach Khoa - Hanoi with the main guest speaker: Mr. Nguyen Huu Thai Hoa - VNPT Group Strategy Director with the help of the MC: Mr. Le Cong Thanh - Leader of the Vietnam Talent Award 2016 winning group. Together with the delegates, the speakers will share their perspective on how to successfully start a business, especially while facing the strong influence of the fourth industrial revolution.
