On the evening of 19/8/2017 in Hanoi, the Labor Union of the Information & Communications industry successfully organized the performance art festival entitled "The pride in the traditions of the  Information and Communications industry", aiming to celebrate the 72nd anniversary of the August Revolution, the National Day on September 2nd, the traditional day of the Information & Communications industry on August 28th, the traditional day of the Posts and Telecommunications industry on August 15th, the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Labor Union of Vietnam 30/8/1947- 30/8/2017. 

 

 

The festival was attended by guests from the Ministry of Information and Communications - Deputy Minister Phan Tam, Former Deputy Minister Tran Duc Lai, and Mr. Chu Van Binh, Chairman of the Labor Union of the Information and Communications Industry, Mr. Hoang Duc Son, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee of VNPT Group, Mr. Bui Van Hoan, President of VNPT’s Labor Union... together with leaders of institutions and units in the industry and more than 300 actors from 11 labor unions under MIC.

Speaking at the opening of the festival, Mr. Chu Van Binh, President of the Labor Union of the Information and Communications industry stressed that the festival was an opportunity for the industry to promote and develop the cultural and artistic movement among its labourers and civil servants, employees.The festival would also encouraging employees of the whole industry to develop its 70 year-old traditions of construction and development, to overcome difficulties and challenges, to emulate production, to study and work hard, striving to accomplish and even overly achieve the set targets; At the same time, it contributed to improve the cultural and spiritual life of employees, union members and laborers. The festival would discover and praise talented people who have enormous potential for becoming the core in the cultural and art movement of the industry. Additionally, it would also improve the solidarity among officials and employees of labor units of the industry.

According to the judges, most of the performances were well-prepared about their content, meaning, form, creativity and artistry; Also, they all showed the enthusiastic efforts of employees in the common activities of the Information and Communications industry. There were many performances that had captured the hearts of the audiences.

VNPT’s Labor Union brought 03 performance to the festival, all three won high results. The judges selected and the Organizing Committee presented the first prize of the dance category for the performance "Lotus Shape" by the Labor Union of VNPT-Media Corporation, two second prizes for the choir "Hearts of Vietnam" by the Labor Union of VNPT-VinaPhone Telecommunications Services Corporation and the band "The eyes of the horizontal" by the Labor Union of Telecommunications Construction Development Joint stock company.
