On August 4, in Danang, the Company Union of the Media Corporation held the first Congress, 2017-2020 term with the participation of 118 delegates representing 559 trade union members, coming from 7 Affiliated union.

Established in July 2015, the Comany Union of VNPT-Media Corporation has built and stabilized Union institutions under the new business model of the Corporation. Not only accomplishing all the tasks successfully, the Union also set its regulations to govern management and operation at the same time. 

Positive emulation helps boost business activities

The union members and employees of the Corporation have overcome many difficulties, and gained encouraging results. The Company Union unceasingly grows stronger, capturing the trust and credibility of workers. Additionally, the union activities have contributed to the successful achievement of business targets of the Corporation. Together with good expertise, the Union of the Corporation has complied with the Party's resolutions, policy and mechanism as well as the Group and Corporation’ objectives and tasks to organize movement for its members, to boost the production and business activities, to build up and take care of a large contingent of workers and employees and to accomplish all the given tasks.

In the period 2015-2017, despite many difficulties and challenges, with the consensus, solidarity of employees together with many innovative and flexible business solutions; VNPT-Media’s members have promoted the emulation movement to achieve the targets even to exceed them. The corporation has achieved and exceeded the targets in many fields, such as total revenue, total profit, return on equity…

 

Along with the expertise, the Union of the Corporation and its affiliates has launched many emulation movements for skilled labor and creative labor, contributing to the successful execution of political goal and annual production plan. Joint direct between Standing Committee and the Management Board has become the specific direction for the emulation movement. The act of honor of outstanding collectives and individuals has become a source of motivation for every customs officers - employees, laborers to put extra effort into tasks with high spirit and responsibility. Hundreds of topics, new initiatives and technical innovations have been applied in practice, contributing to the improvement of the quality of management and production, the increase of productivity and the quality of services. The emulation movement launched by the Union and the Youth Union provided a great support for the professional activities. It has contributed greatly to the technical improvement process and rationalization of production as well as the application of technological advances. Because of gaining many excellent achievements, a lot of collectives or individuals of the corporation was honored with noble rewards. Two years in a row: 2015, 2016: Union of VNPT-Media was presented award "The Best Company Union in terms of task accomplishments " by the Information and Communication Union; Moreover, 2 collectives were awarded the Diploma of Merit of the Information and Communication Union; 07 collectors were awarded the certificates of VNPT Trade Union; 02 individuals were awarded Certificate of Merit by the General Confederation of Labor of Vietnam ...

More things to do in the new phase

Turning to the period of 2017 - 2022, the Union of the Corporation have to overcome the shortcomings and determine to accomplish successfully political goals of the Corporation with the following main tasks: Complying with the Resolution Party Committee of the Corporation for each year and period; Implementing the Resolution of VNPT Union Congress, the Resolution of the First Congress of the Communications Corporation; Encourage employees and trade union members to work with high productivity and quality; Striving for the fulfillment of political tasks and production targets; Holding training workshops to help Union’s member gain high political enlightenment and full awareness of production and business tasks in the new period; Improving the quality of life in both material wealth and spiritual value, building a lifestyle which is healthy, cost-saving and civilized; Coordinating closely with units in the industry to provide VNPT-Media services in domestic and international markets; Continuing to enhance the ability of staff so as to meet the needs of sustainable development.

 

 

In the context of hardship and advantages intertwined, the Union will continue to bring its role into play, to renovate both the organizing and activity contents of the trade union, to change awareness and working style of the union staff workers; develop creative labor movement; secure full implementation of social policy, social security activties

At the meeting, The Deputy General Director of the Group, the Secretary of the Corporation appreciated the efforts of the unions for always working shoulder to shoulder in all activities of the corporation, especially in the difficult periods. He also believed that this Congress would elect a new Executive Committee of Trade Union for new term which govern the organization in a creative, dynamic way to improve noticeably their people's material and spiritual life. In the coming time, the unions should step up in the emulation movements for effective business practices and culture development.

Also at the congress, the VNPT Union president Bui Van Hoan asked the Executive of the Corporation to add more specific targets, such as union member’s development, building strong Trade Union organization in the new term... In particular, he also emphasized that the internal communication work should be cared to give the right orientation to workers; The direction activities must be based on the specific characteristics and criteria of the Corporation so that it could shape appropriate policies and movements. Extra-curricular activities also need to be strengthened to help create motivation as well as the connection among members in the collective ...

In serious and urgent working atmosphere, the Union Congress of the Media Company voted to choose a new 11-member Executive Committee for new term. At the same time, this Congress awarded the certificate for the collectives and individuals acquiring outstanding achievements in the past few months.
