Through days living together with Ms. Tse, Chan no longer takes advantage of her and starts to care for her like his own mother. It is the kindness and love of Ms. Tse that helps the young man overcome temptations in life. The film stars familiar faces such as Kara Wai and Carlos Chan.

This is a romance and drama movie by the director Peter Chan. The film focuses on the struggling love story of two Chinese mainlanders named Li Xiao-Jun and Li Qia, who are fans of the singer Teresa Teng and immigrate to Hong Kong. They fall in love with each other, but their love is hindered by the relationship between Li Qia and a mob boss. The movie, starring Maggie Cheung and Leon Lai, won 9 awards at the 1996 Hong Kong Film Awards and took a well-deserved win at the 1996 Golden Horse Film Awards.
