Attaining 103 per cent of the proposed revenue, 120 percent of the proposed profit and doubling labor productivity, etc... are some of the most outstanding achievements of VNPT-Media in 2016.

 

 

The total revenue of VNPT-Media in 2016 was VND 1,434 billion, accounting for around 103% in the proposed target.

 

 

In which, VAS gained a revenue of VND 850 billion, while MyTV achieved VND 527 billion. The revenues from media and financial services were VND 34 billion and VND 23 billion respectively.

 

 

The total profit of the company in 2016 was VND 126 billion, representing 120 per cent in the proposed plan.

Return on equity was 17.7 per cent, up by 30 % in comparision with the assigned target.

 

 

The average labor productivity in 2016 was over VND 2.6 billion/ person/ year, which up by 100 % compared with that in 2015 (or up by 1.3 billion/ person/ year).

 

 

Until the end of 2016, MyTV television service has 1.154 million subscribers, and this number has increased by 29 % compared with the same period in 2015. This service continues to maintain its 3rd position in the pay TV market and 1st position among Vietnam IPTV providers.

 

 

In 2016, MyTV has introduced 40 new channels, increasing the total number of channels on MyTV to nearly 200, which include 30 HD channels.

Other services by VNPT-Media have also achieved rapid growth and received wide attention from the public. For instance, VnEdu school management software is currently deployed in 12,000 schools nationwide. The service has provided 2.4 million e-book accounts and sent 6 million SMS between schools and parents each month.

 

 

In addition, VNPT-Media has developed and mastered multiple service platforms such as Tapping Gateway, USSD Gateway, LBS, WinPro, etc, which have saved the company million of dollars in hiring or buying platforms from foreign countries.
