Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently announced the list of 88 businesses whose brands and services honored with the National Brand Award 2016.

This year’s winners operate in 16 different fields, including Engineering, Machinery, Equipment; Textile – Leather footwear; Electricity – Electronics – Information Technology – Telecommunications; Timber products – Ceramics – Crafts; Jewelry – Gemstones; Pharmaceuticals - Cosmetics; Paper - Stationery – Packaging, etc.

Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) was the only Telecommunications business that won the National Brand Award 2016 in the field of Electricity – Electronics – Information Technology – Telecommunications.

The following products and services from VNPT were honored in the list of Top National Brands 2016: vnEdu Educational Network, MyTV Television Service (both of these services are provided by VNPT-Media); Ground mobile communication service; Telecommunication terminal equipment and Igate television service; General Wifi network.

vnEdu Educational Network and MyTV Television Service – two VNPT-Media services were listed in Top National Brands 2016.

Over the years, VNPT has received many honors and awards, including: “National Brand”, “Top 5 leading Vietnam businesses”; “Top 20 winners of the International Economic Integration Award”; 9 times listed in Top 500 largest companies in Vietnam (VNR500). In 2014, VNPT was the only Vietnamese Telecommunications business to be honored in “Top 100 ASEAN brands 2014”. In 2016, VinaPhone (a affiliate of VNPT) has been listed in Top 20 Most-valued Asean Telecommunications brands.  VinaPhone is currently contributing thousand billions dong to the State budget annually.

Vietnam National Brands program was approved by the Prime Minister and Government in 2003. This is the only program by the Vietnam Government to publicize national images and brands via business products and services. The program is organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and other relevant agencies and ministries.
