VNPT ranks among the top 10 most reputable technology and telecommunications companies in 2026
The top rankings in the list of the Top 10 Most Reputable Information Technology and Telecommunications Companies in 2026 feature three major names: Viettel Group (Vietnam Military Telecommunications Group), FPT Corporation, and Vietnam Post and Telecommunications Group (VNPT). The remaining positions in the Top 10 include MobiFone, CMC Corp, Elcom, Hanel, CMC Telecom, VNTT, and TPcoms. These are the "shining stars" in the Top 10 Reputable Technology Companies ranking, announced by Vietnam Report on June 29th, according to two lists: the Top 10 Reputable Information Technology - Telecommunications Companies in 2026 and the Top 10 Reputable Technology Companies providing products, services, and digital transformation solutions in 2026. Vietnam Report's Top 10 reputable technology - telecommunications companies for 2026 recognizes pioneering businesses that are restructuring their operating models, mastering AI, and creating competitive advantages in the new era.
Mr. Phung Hoang Co, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam Report, shared: “The reputation of technology companies is assessed objectively and independently, based on the evaluation of financial capacity, corporate reputation in the media using the Media Coding method, and surveys of research subjects and stakeholders updated as of May 2026.” Based on the rankings, Mr. Vu Dang Vinh, General Director of Vietnam Report, commented that the era of artificial intelligence (AI) is forcing the Information Technology and Telecommunications industry to undergo comprehensive restructuring of both its operating model and competitive mindset. For decades, the backbone of competitive advantage for IT and Telecommunications businesses in developing countries has primarily relied on a large technical workforce and the ability to optimize costs. However, according to analysts at Vietnam Report, the traditional software outsourcing model is experiencing a significant decline, as AI-generated systems and low-code/no-code solutions can automate the programming cycle and standardize many coding, testing, and data processing stages at superior speeds.
The rules of the game in the technology market have changed, forcing businesses to ascend to higher value tiers and focus their growth more on high-tech areas. AI poses both a challenge that erodes profit margins in low-level outsourcing services and an opportunity for businesses to innovate and bridge the gap with their competitors.
