VIETNAMESE TALENT AWARD 2025 — DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY FIELD: "AI and Big Data - Breakthrough Technology"
The Vietnam Talent Award (NTDV) was initiated and chaired by the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education. The Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) has been the main sponsor and organizer of the award for nearly two decades.
Since 2005, the award has attracted over 7,500 authors and scientists, including 260 overseas Vietnamese; more than 3,500 products and scientific works have entered the competition. The award has honored over 210 information technology products and scientific works, with more than 50 products reaching regional and global markets.

In 2025, the NTDV Awards will be launched in the following categories: Digital Technology, Creative Youth, Medicine and Pharmacy, Education, Agriculture, Natural Resources and Environment, and Encouragement of Learning and Self-Study for Success. Among these, the Digital Technology field is the core area of the award.
Vietnam Talent 2025 Promotes the Application of AI and Big Data in National Digital Transformation
On December 22, 2024, General Secretary To Lam signed and issued Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation. The resolution emphasizes mastering strategic technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and Big Data as key factors for Vietnam to bridge the gap with developed countries, aiming to become the regional and global center for digital technology by 2045.
Aligned with the spirit of the resolution, the 2025 Vietnam Talent Awards in the Digital Technology field have adopted the theme "AI and Big Data — Breakthrough Technology". The aim is to encourage authors and groups to develop products that effectively apply core technologies like AI, Big Data, blockchain, cloud computing, IoT, and quantum computing. These products should be highly practical, contributing positively to the development of Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society, while ensuring national security, data security, and supporting state management across various fields.
The 2025 NTDV Awards in Digital Technology include two competing product systems: the Promising Digital Technology Product System and the Successful Digital Technology Product System. In each system, contestants have the opportunity to win a First Prize worth 200 million VND, a Second Prize worth 100 million VND, and a Third Prize worth 50 million VND, along with other valuable prizes from sponsors.

AI Wave — Opportunities and Challenges
During the exchange program, speakers and guests discussed the AI wave and its far-reaching impacts on Vietnam. Participants included Mr. Nguyen Long, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Association of Information Technology, Chairman of the NTĐV Award Jury; Mr. Le Anh Van, Director of VNPT GenerativeAI Platform — VNPT AI; and Mr. Ngo Minh Hieu (Hieu PC), cybersecurity expert, Director of Anti-Fraud Project, and winner of the 2023 NTĐV Community Application Award.
These guests shared insights and interacted with students about the role of artificial intelligence in the digital transformation revolution, discussing opportunities for young people to become "Vietnamese Talents" and contribute to the country’s development in the digital era.
The 2025 Vietnamese Talent Award is not only a platform to honor outstanding technological products but also a bridge for the young generation to contribute to the national digital transformation mission, with the goal of making Vietnam a regional digital technology hub by 2045.
