With the permission from the leaders of VNPT-Media and VNPT-Media's Party committee, from December 1st 2017 to December 2nd 2017, VNPT-Media Youth Union cooperated with VNPT Yen Bai Youth Union to organize a charity program at Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School, Pa Hu commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province. The area was among the places severely affected by the historic storm last October.

The volunteer team departed early in the morning, bringing charity packages which consisted of thick clothes, socks, boots and other necessities to Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School, Pa Hu commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province. Many VNPT-Media Youth Union bases participated in the program, such as the Youth Unions of the Market Development Division and of MyTV Company, VAS Company, IPC Company and Software Company.

"Although the program was launched in a very short time, it had the support from all members of VNPT-Media Youth Union, as well as all VNPT-Media's staff. The program had raised nearly 80 million VND. We had bought warm clothes and other school equipment to give the children, hoping that our effort would help the children to get through the freezing winter in highland area, and help the school to raise their teaching quality." Mrs. Pham Thanh Hoa, Vice Secretary of VNPT-Media Youth Union shared.

Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School currently has 500 students divided into 15 classes.  In the “Warm Clothes for Highland Children" program, Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hao, Vice President of VNPT-Media Labor Union and the representative of Pa Hu commune granted 30 scholarships worth 500.000 VND to great poor students and handed 10 million VND to the school board to upgrade the school's teaching equipment. Also in the program, Mr. Hoang Tien Hung, Vice Secretary of VNPT's Youth Union, Secretary of VNPT-Media Youth Union; Mrs. Pham Thanh Hoa, Vice Secretary of VNPT-Media Youth Union and representatives of the Youth Union of VNPT Yen Bai and VNPT Yen Bai Business Center handed 500 coats, 500 pairs of boots, and 500 pairs of socks to the students of commune. Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School; 200 pillows and 200 pairs of socks to the representative of the School board of Hoa Phuong Elementary School, Pa Hu commune, Tram Tau district, Yen Bai province. Deeply moved when receiving the presents, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hien, Headmaster of Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School shared: "On the behalf of the school's staff, teachers and 500 students, we would like to express our gratefulness to the leaders and staff of VNPT-Media Corporation, VNPT Yen Bai, and VNPT Yen Bai Business Center for helping our students, and support the school in teaching, contributing to the repair of our infrastructure and teaching equipment after the recent flood."

 

Receiving 200 pillows and 200 pairs of socks, Mrs. Vu Thi Them, Headmaster of Hoa Phuong Elementary School shared: "On the behalf of the school's pupils, I would like to express my gratefulness for your concern and support to highland elementary pupils. I hope that in the coming time, we will continue to receive the support of organizations so that the children here will have better living and studying conditions."

Nung Luc Nguyen, a pupil of the 5B class of Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School expressed her happiness when receiving her presents from VNPT-Media's Youth Union: "

I'm so happy to receive these presents. This winter, I will no longer be cold." Wiping her tears, she said: "Thank you for your support. I promise to study hard to be worthy of the title Uncle Ho's Good Child."

 

 

In the joyful air of the program, Mr. Hoang Tien Hung, Vice Secretary of VNPT Group Youth Union, Secretary of VNPT-Media Youth Union emphasized: "With the motto "Bring love to every corner of the country" that focuses on children in remote area, this is one of the annual social activities of VNPT-Media Youth Union. The presents that the Corporation's Youth Union gives today come from the love of all VNPT-Media's employees for the children. I hope that these meaningful activities will contribute a little in reducing the difficulties of the teachers and students in Pa Hu Primary and Junior High School, chasing away the cold of the mountain area, bringing the children a warm winter, and helping them to go to school comfortably.”
