VNPT mobile network has the fastest Internet speed in Vietnam
According to the announcement from the Department of Telecommunications (Ministry of Information and Communications) regarding internet service speed in Vietnam in April 2024, the VinaPhone network leads in both download and upload speeds, followed by Viettel. MobiFone is ranked 3rd.
This test result is based on the Vietnam i-Speed Internet access speed measurement system developed by Vietnam Internet Center (VNNIC). According to the results, VinaPhone's mobile internet service reached a download speed of 44.88 Mbps and an upload speed of 20.66 Mbps. These speeds are higher than the national average and those of other networks in Vietnam.
Ranked 2nd is Viettel with download speed reaching 43.9 Mbps and upload speed reaching 14.82 Mbps. MobiFone has a download speed of 33.99 Mbps and an upload speed of 18.88 Mbps. Data was collected by VNNIC from 500,000 measurement samples from users across the country.

The measurement system of the Ministry of Information and Communications also shows that, among the network providers offering fiber optic Internet services to households, VNPT is leading in terms of access speed. With a download speed index of 99.45 Mbps and an upload speed of 100.62 Mbps, VNPT's Wifi Internet service satisfies households' needs for multi-device connections for entertainment, work, and smart-home purposes. The next positions belong to Viettel, Netnam, SCTV, and SPT respectively.
In the first quarter of 2024, Okla company also announced the results of mobile internet speed testing in Vietnam through the Speedtest application. According to this independent test result, VinaPhone is the fastest mobile network in Vietnam in 2023. Continuously in the first 3 quarters of 2023 (Quarter I, Quarter II, and Quarter III), VinaPhone's mobile network achieved consistently high scores, with a highest score of 55.87 points in the Vietnamese market. The Speedtest 2023 report for Vietnam also shows that VinaPhone provided the best mobile gaming experience that year.
Recently, VNPT was voted "The most popular network operator" at Vietnam GameVerse 2024 based on reviews from gamers within the Vietnamese community.
VNPT is also currently one of the first network operators to receive a license to provide 5G services in Vietnam and is preparing to commercialize this technology as soon as possible. With speeds dozens of times stronger than current 4G networks, 5G networks are opening up new prospects in advanced technology fields including high-speed mobile games and AR/VR games.
Following this new trend, VNPT is actively investing and researching to develop 6G networks to anticipate future digitalization needs both domestically and internationally.
