On June 19th 2018, the Youth Union of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) organized a Blood Donation Day titled "Sharing Blood Drops - Sharing Hope". Attending the event were the representatives from the Youth Union of the Central Business, the National Blood Center at the Central Institute of Hematology, the Party Committee of VNPT and VNPT's Youth Union.
This annual activity of VNPT is not only a beautiful tradition of the group but also one of key tasks of the group's Youth Union at all levels. Every drop of blood being given away means a drop of hope breathed into the life of someone. This meaningful activity represents the responsibility of VNPT's youth. In this event, the young employees of VNPT have spread hope and brought life force to thousands of sick people.
Speaking in the event, Mr. Tran Ngoc Que, Deputy Director of the National Blood Center at the National Institute of Hematology, said that the participation of more than 300 VNPT employees had become a great encouragement to the National Blood Center and blood donation activities. VNPT's Blood Donation Day contributed to ensure the supply of blood for 150 hospitals in this summer.
In this year's Blood Donation Day, VNPT-Media Corporation had 70 employees participating. With the enthusiastic participation of VNPT's child units, including VNPT-Media, each year, the Group's Youth Union mobilized more than 1000 units of blood. This activity is not only rich in humanity but also reflects the beauty of VNPT culture. This is also an activity to celebrate the International Blood Donor Day 14/6 and the Red Journey event which is being implemented in 26 provinces and cities across the country.
