VinaPhone Leads in 5G Network Speed in Vietnam
VinaPhone Honored for 5G Network Speed
According to Ookla’s latest report — Speedtest’s provider of internet speed measurement — VinaPhone (part of VNPT Group) is the network operator with the fastest 5G network speed in Vietnam in the first half of 2025, a milestone in the early stages of widespread 5G commercialization. The “Speedtest Connectivity Report” analyzed millions of user-initiated tests conducted between January and June 2025.

This result is based on Speedtest’s “Speed Score” — a specialized measure of download and upload speeds for mobile networks. Specifically, VinaPhone is the fastest 5G provider with a Speed Score of 78.11. It also leads in average 5G download speed, reaching 594.16 Mbps, well ahead of second place Viettel at 421.61 Mbps. MobiFone, the network delivering the latest commercial 5G among the trio, ranks next with 306.5 Mbps. VinaPhone recorded an average 5G upload speed of 55.37 Mbps and a 5G latency of 30 ms. VinaPhone is also the mobile telecommunications enterprise with the highest 5G network stability among the three networks, at 95.9%, followed by Viettel and MobiFone. However, the difference between the providers is not significant, so the report does not assign a specific ranking for this criterion.
