“Decoding the Beat” – A unique rap talk show premiering on MyTV
In recent years, rap has become one of the most vibrant and influential music genres in the Vietnamese entertainment market. And “Decoding the Beat” (GMCB) is the key to bringing the audience into that world.

Not simply a rap stage, “Decoding the Beat” is the first program in Vietnam to explore the everyday life of rappers. Instead of just portraying a thorny, hard-edged image, viewers will see for the first time a simple Long Non La, a confiding Lang LD, or a Dat G who is seeking balance between family and music. These are genuine personal stories, helping rap become closer and more sophisticated in the eyes of the public.
Emotional journey — both quality and authenticity
Each 45-minute episode is designed as a multi-layered emotional experience:
- Intimate opening: MC Dustin Phuc Nguyen — a familiar face from “Dustin On The Go” and “Bar Stories” — and guests open up about an everyday life.
- Mini game “Security Check”: Revealing five indispensable items every time a rapper goes out, hinting at accompanying stories.
- Lively rap stage: where artists perform their famous hits in a street-style setting.
- Exclusive freestyle “Bốc tui Blind”: a challenge to improvise rap on challenging beats by Thai Son Beatbox — Asia’s Beatbox champion. In particular, “The Ultimate Challenge” requires integrating random topics and words from the MC, beatboxer, and the program crew, creating technically impressive but also surprisingly humorous exchanges.
- Emotional moments: a series of mini-games (“Quick Fire Question,” “Photo of Memories”) and in-depth conversations that help the audience better understand the artist’s journey, difficulties, and rap-writing style.

Broadcast exclusively on MyTV from September 28 to December 13, 2025, the program consists of 12 episodes, promising an experience that is both entertaining and humane, while honoring the creative spirit of Vietnamese rap.
The first episodes will feature guests Long Non La, Dat G, Lang LD, and Tao; it is expected that subsequent episodes will include Cuong Seven, Tieu Minh Phung, and many other names that will gradually be “decoded.”
