VNPT people "overcome floods, keep the waves" to support the transportation of necessities to people in flooded areas

Floods and rains have isolated western Nghệ An. VNPT Nghệ An urgently responded, ensured communication, and supported people in flooded areas.

Heavy rains caused Ky Sơn, Tuông Đường, and Con Cuông in western Nghệ An to be submerged in floodwaters. Flash floods and landslides occurred everywhere; many villages were completely cut off, and communications and power grids were locally interrupted. Although the water had begun to recede, roads were still covered in mud, traffic was paralyzed, and people’s lives faced numerous difficulties.
In that situation, with a proactive spirit from before, VNPT Nghệ An activated a plan to respond to natural disasters in a drastic, methodical, and urgent manner. As soon as there was a forecast of heavy rain and floods, the unit had a detailed plan, clearly assigned tasks, was on duty 24/7, and was fully prepared with means and materials such as backup generators, cables, connectors, construction tool kits, raincoats, life buoys, etc., along with mobile means to be ready to reach all areas, including isolated ones.
As soon as the water showed signs of receding, on July 23, 2025, VNPT Nghệ An leaders were present at National Highway 7 to direct rescue and troubleshooting work. Meanwhile, technical staff at the telecommunications centers did not mind the heavy rain and danger; many people had to walk for kilometers, wade through streams, and climb passes to reach points where communication was lost.
As of this morning, July 25, 2025, the power grid was still out in large areas. Some routes in Tuông Đường started to have electricity, but in Ky Sơn, the entire area was still without power. Although traffic was not yet clear, travel remained difficult, and many points were congested. VNPT deployed technical staff to Ky Sơn, Tuông Đường, and Con Cuông to support transmission and customer subscription handling. In flood-isolated areas, VNPT also coordinated with other network operators to enable roaming.

Late at noon, with quick meals shared with colleagues, the VNPT green shirts continued the journey of sharing with enthusiasm. Regardless of the harsh sun after the rain or slippery roads, VNPT officers and employees in Ky Sơn, Tuông Đường, and Con Cuông also participated in supporting local authorities, transporting relief goods, clean water, and necessities to people in need.
The VNPT green-covered trucks go against the flood, filled with (the) love. Each box of noodles, each bottle of water delivered is not only material support but also the sharing of VNPT people with the community in times of trouble.
