VnCitizens App - An Important Communication Channel in the Digital Transformation Journey
Deployed in nearly 40 provinces and
cities, accounting for 47% of the country's market share, the vnCitizens
digital citizen application developed by VNPT has truly become an important
communication channel in the digital transformation process.
The application enhances citizens' experiences when interacting with the government, increasing efficiency and transparency in the provision of public services, reflecting recommendations, and facilitating access to electronic information portals.
A Powerful Interactive Tool Between Government and Citizens
Digital citizenship is considered a fundamental factor for the development of a digital society and is crucial to the success of digital transformation across all three pillars: Digital Government, Digital Economy, and Digital Society. In this spirit, many technological solutions are being prioritized by enterprises to foster digital citizenship. Among these, the vnCitizens application developed by VNPT Group focuses on placing people and enterprises at the center of the digital transformation process. Launched with the goal of becoming a key communication channel, vnCitizens creates a connection between the government, management agencies, and citizens in a convenient and effective manner. Citizens can submit applications online, track progress, and receive results quickly. Additionally, the application supports features such as digital signatures for records, personal records management, online payments, and data warehousing, helping citizens save time and effort when completing administrative procedures.
Moreover, citizens can send feedback and recommendations directly through the application, allowing them to track the progress of their petitions and quickly access information about them anytime, anywhere. At the same time, vnCitizens serves as a powerful interactive tool, enabling the government to easily access and effectively engage with the public. It connects and integrates information technology applications and digital transformation technologies, creating a complete digital ecosystem that serves as a bridge between systems, facilitating easy access to information, utility services, and administrative procedures from various sources.
In addition, vnCitizens provides numerous important utilities for citizens and aids the government in managing information and delivering public services more effectively. These features play a significant role in creating a more convenient and efficient living and working environment. The application can

easily expand its functions according to the needs of each province or city.
The application is configured with a robust infrastructure and internet connection capable of accommodating a large number of users, supporting up to 500 simultaneous users without causing delays or lags, and ensuring stable operation even if some servers experience issues.
Scalability in International Markets
With a microservice/SaaS design, an easily scalable architecture, multi-language support, easy integration, and high performance, vnCitizens is capable of providing services for use nationwide or in other countries. According to VNPT, from 2025 to 2030, the vnCitizens application will expand into potential international markets such as Laos, Cambodia, and Myanmar. In particular, the goal by 2025 is to integrate 80% of level 4 online public services; connect with IoT devices to provide real-time information on traffic, the environment, and security for citizens; and utilize data from IoT devices to enhance resource and environmental management.
By 2026, vnCitizens will integrate blockchain technology to ensure high security and authentication for online transactions and important documents, as well as employ VR and AR to create new interactive experiences in education, tourism, and public service interactions. By 2027, it aims to integrate 90% of level 4 online public services to contribute to the development of digital government, improve efficiency, and ensure sustainable operation, along with integrating smart home solutions for tracking and managing personal assets and resources.
After a period of implementation, the vnCitizens digital citizen application developed by VNPT won the Top Industry 4.0 Vietnam 2023 award from the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations and was certified as one of the Top 10 Outstanding Digital Technology Products for digital government at the Make in Vietnam Digital Technology Product Award 2023.
Additionally, vnCitizens has received high praise for its practicality in supporting digital transformation in many localities, reflecting VNPT's commitment to accompany these areas throughout their digital transformation journeys.
