VNPT participated in OpenInfra & Cloud Native Day Vietnam 2024.
At the event, the Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group - VNPT delivered a presentation titled "Cloud Native: The Journey from Inception to Maturity," sharing its process of gradually converting from traditional systems to cloud computing infrastructure.
The OpenInfra & Cloud Native Day Vietnam 2024 took place on August 24, 2024 in Hanoi, with the theme "Enhancing future digital sovereignty with open infrastructure, cloud computing applications on Public Cloud and AI." The event was organized by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) and the Vietnam Open Infrastructure community (VietOpenInfra), under the auspices of the Ministry of Information and Communications. Notably, more than 20 OpenStack communities around the world - with over 110,000 individuals from 187 countries - participated this year.
According to event organizers, in today's context, Vietnam needs an open source strategy that is easy to access and completely independent. This is particularly relevant for artificial intelligence as it needs to develop based on diverse data sets without being exclusive.

During his presentation at the event, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Khanh - Deputy Director of Solution Center at VNPT IT Company - emphasized applying Cloud Native architecture in digital transformation processes. He shared practical experiences, achievements, and challenges overcome during VNPT's journey in building Cloud Native infrastructure in Vietnam. The presentation highlighted VNPT's gradual conversion from traditional systems to cloud computing infrastructure using advanced technologies such as Containerization, MicroServices, DevOps... Additionally,VNPT has applied Composable Architecture along with Packaged Business Capabilities for quick integration of new services without having to change system structures entirely."
Later that afternoon at thematic seminars during the event," Mr. Truong Ngoc Son - Head of System and Big Data Department at VNPT IT Company presented a paper titled "Scaling up AI technology - The power of reliable data sources". He discussed how VNPT’s comprehensive AI ecosystem provides various platforms/products/services supported by high-quality data sources.
The OpenInfra & Cloud Native Day Vietnam 2024 provided an opportunity for VNPT not only introduce technological achievements but also exchange knowledge and cooperate with partners towards further development of open technology infrastructure in Vietnam.
