On 20/9/2017, VNPT-Media Corporation (a member of Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group - VNPT) and Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) officially signed a contract for service delivery cooperation. The two parties pledged to prioritize each other's services to create products and services that benefit customers.

Accordingly, BIDV's customers can access and use VNPT’s services easily and vice versa, customers of VNPT-Media can experience non-cash payment service and make payments via their accounts at BIDV.

BIDV will provide fast, modern and convenient financial banking services with competitive prices. At the same time, BIDV will prioritize to use telecommunication and IT services provided by VNPT-Media for the bank’s regular banking operations, ensuring sustainable development.

VNPT-Media also introduced the electronic payment gateway (VNPT Pay) which aims at improving service quality and expanding non-cash payment facilities for customers. With VNPT Pay service, users do not have to worry about incurred costs or service interruption due to late payment.

The two parties agreed to sign a cooperation contract to  provide integrated services between the payment intermediary (VNPT Pay) and BIDV Bank to customers. Services that will be deployed in the coming time include: collection services, payment gateway services and e-wallet services. These are high tech services that can be applied widely and are suitable for the tastes and trends of modern consumers.

 

 

BIDV-VNPT Pay Collection Service: A service that allows customers to recharge and pay for goods and services provided by VNPT and service providers in cooperation with VNPT through BIDV's diverse payment channel system (including more than 1,000 BIDV nationwide counters, BIDV ATMs, BIDV ATMs, Internet Banking, Mobile Banking).

Payment gateway service BIDV-VNPT Pay: A service that allows customers to recharge and pay for goods and services provided by VNPT and service providers in cooperation with VNPT through the payment channel system developed by VNPT-Media.

BIDV-VNPT Pay e-wallet service: A payment service delivered in the form of electronic accounts, which support users to input / withdraw money into electronic wallets and use wallet balances to shop, pay for goods,  phone recharge and pay bills right in the wallet app.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. To Manh Cuong, Deputy General Director of VNPT Group and Chairman of VNPT-Media shared, the development of electronic payment system is one of the four development focuses of VNPT-Media in the coming period. VNPT-Media will focus on the development of new and modern payment tools and forms for rural, remote and isolated areas, increasing the number of people that can access payment services. This partnership not only brings development opportunities to the two businesses and improves the business efficiency of both parties but also bring convenience to the customers of BIDV and VNPT. With the strength in technology resources, human resources and network, BIDV and VNPT-Media will work together to provide telecommunication fee collection services, hospital fee collection services, public service fee collection services, social insurance, health insurance collection services...

 

 

Talking about the opportunity to cooperate with VNPT-Media, Mr. Le Ngoc Lam, Deputy General Director of BIDV confirmed that the cooperation of BIDV and VNPT Pay has opened up a new, convenient, effective and fast payment channel for modern consumers and contributed to the nation's overall development. 

 

 

 

On July 6, 1977, VNPT-Media was officially licensed by the State Bank of Vietnam to provide three types of services: electronic payment gateway; Payment assistance; E-wallet service. This is considered an important step to help VNPT-Media deploy strong non-cash payment utilities. Currently, VNPT-Media is working at developing payment solutions, improving service quality, cooperating with banks to provide customers with convenient card payment services in order to meet market expectations as well as catch up with world trends.
